Nitya Chawla joined the UCL School of Management at University College London as an Associate Professor in May 2026. Prior to this, she worked at the Carlson School of Management (2023-2026) and the Mays School of Business, Texas A&M University (2020-2023).

A ‘third culture kid,’ Nitya is of Indian origin
but grew up in Singapore, where she completed
her B.Sc. in Psychology from the National
University of Singapore. She then earned her
Ph.D. in Management from the Eller College of
Management at the University of Arizona (2020).

When she isn’t working, Nitya is spending time with (re: running after) her many boys—two adopted pups (Bailey and Milo), an incredibly energetic 5-year old (Kabir—a pandemic baby!), and newborn twins (Riaan and Rishaan). In the evenings, you’ll likely find her watching a Minnesota Timberwolves or Lynx game, extremely invested in a Golden State Warriors game, or trying out a new restaurant in the city with her husband (hi, Rahul!).
