Nitya Chawla joined the University of Minnesota's Carlson School of Management as an Assistant Professor in the Work and Organizations Department in June 2023. Prior to this, she worked at the Mays School of Business, Texas A&M University.

A ‘third culture kid,’ Nitya is of Indian origin but grew up in Singapore, where she completed her B.Sc. in Psychology from the National University of Singapore. She then earned her Ph.D. in Management from the Eller College of Management at the University of Arizona in 2020.

When she isn’t working, Nitya is spending time with (re: running after) her boys—two adopted pups (Bailey and Milo) and a toddler (Kabir—a pandemic baby!). In the evenings, however, you’ll likely find her extremely invested in a Golden State Warriors game or trying out a new restaurant in the city with her husband (hi, Rahul!).
